Associated Electrics have introduced the new Factory Team carbon fiber shock towers and aluminum shock standoffs intended for use with the Team Associated RC8B4.1 1/8th nitro buggy. Racers can now lower the CG with carbon fiber shock towers and hard-anodized aluminum shock standoffs. The updated design towers require shorter standoffs due to the solid cross-section around the shock mount screws. Overall, this is the most durable way to execute this lightweight design. The front shock tower fits the RC8B4.1 26.5mm kit front shocks and the rear shock tower fits 36.5mm kit rear shocks.

The new hard-anodized aluminum shock standoffs come in two different sets. The #81591 set is the standard kit length 14mm and 17mm (distance from the base to the pivot ball). The #81657 are a custom shorter set with 12.5mm and 16mm offset intended to mate with the FT carbon fiber shock towers which do not have the recessed pockets that the aluminum kit towers have.
