EFRA would like to clear up some perceptions regarding the 1/10th and 1/8th IC Track race which was to be held at the Gubbio track.
Primarily, GP races were to be removed from the EFRA schedule at the 2023 EFRA AGM meeting by vote from the EFRA member federations. One of these reasons was low turnout at GP and IR races during the last few racing seasons. We would like to clarify that this race was put on the Calendar on specific request from AMSCI. The decision to cancel it was not made in partnership with members of the EFRA board.
With multiple WC races being cancelled and moved this year, the state of organised RC racing around the world is such that events can only move forward under certain conditions to provide a good turnout for organising clubs and federations. However, we look forward to working with all the members of AMSCI as well as the wonderful Gubbio club to have future EFRA events at the track in the future.
