The Merdeka Challenge 2024 was held at Putrajaya off-road RC track located in Malaysia, over the weekend. The 1/8th nitro buggy class saw Bashir (Mugen Seiki) taking the overall TQ after three rounds of qualifying. However, in the 45-minute final, David Lim (Kyosho/Ultimate Racing/Nitrolux/Procircuit) proved that his 11-month hiatus had not affected his driving skills, as he was able to secure the win. Mizan (SWORKz) came in second while Shane Huzaire (Kyosho) ended the day in third.
