Broc Champlin crowned 2024 Florida Carpet modified champion

Indoor track’s Beachline raceway of Cocoa, Florida, hosted the 2024 edition of the JConcepts Florida carpet championships over the weekend. From de start to the finish, the event quickly saw the Schumacher Racing duo of Broc Champlin and Michal Orlowski stand out from the rest of the field. The competition between these two JConcepts drivers was fierce, with both tied on points. Broc was the man to beat in the modified 2WD buggy class, claiming the overall TQ after four rounds of qualifying.

Michal secured the top qualifier overall in the modified 4WD buggy class. In Round 1, he completed 19 laps with a time of 5:07.433, showing a strong start. Round 2 was even better, with him finishing 19 laps in 5:07.150, taking the lead in that round. He continued his solid performance in Round 3, completing 19 laps at 5:04.659. Finally, in Round 4, he achieved his fastest time with 19/5:04.981. These consistent top times made him the clear top qualifier for the event.

Broc was able to convert the TQ spot into the win in Mod 2WD buggy. European’s racers Michal and XRAY’s Bruno Coelho rounded out the top 3.

Michal also converted the TQ intro the win, leaving behind his teammate Broc in second and Bruno in third.

A thrilling Super Pole was held to break the tie, and Broc claimed the overall modified champion title.
