Avid Racing have introduced their new 1+1mm hub link mounts intended for use with the Team Associated RC10B7 1/10th 2WD buggy. The 1+1mm hub link mount puts the ball stud in the same location but up 1mm. This is done because you always run a 1mm shim in this area at minimum and it is a pain to work on when removing because the shim always falls to that place where your socks go in the dryer. On top of that, if you run the kit ball stud with the kit hub link mounts without the 1mm shim, it will pinch the bearing on the molded hubs and cause the dogbone not to spin freely.

It is black anodized with silver highlights on both sides and laser etched with our logo as well as the +1 to signify the ball stud is moved up 1mm, just like we do for the rear inner camber link mount that is +2mm. To clarify, we are aware that this is a +2mm when going back to the original B74 part being used and AE updated it to be 1mm higher for the B7 but since it isn’t labeled on the AE part as a +1, we thought this would be just as confusing.
Features
- Keeps the ball stud in the kit location but moves the ball up 1mm so you don’t have to run a shim.
- Makes working on the car easier by eliminating the shim that always falls off to oblivion.
- You have to run the 1mm shim with the kit setup, otherwise, you will bind up the dogbone by pinching the bearing with the molded hubs so we just removed that issue.
- Made with 7075-T6 and anodized black with silver chamfer highlights on both sides for that extra shimmer.
- Laser-etched Avid logo with +1 to signify the ball stud is being raised 1mm.
- Replaces AS92441.
About Avid Racing Concepts: Avid Racing Concepts has been saving RC racers money from day one. It is our mission to provide the best quality product at the best prices available. All of our products go through rigorous testing to insure the best durability available today. My name is David Joor and I owned and ran RC10B4.com which became the largest vehicle focused community in RC for the 4th Generation of the vehicles from Team Associated. I developed the RC Pro Series website which at one point was the largest national racing series in the USA. I was also responsible for the web development and branding of JConcepts, RCAmerica, Kinetix, and CEFX. In other words, this isn’t my first race/rodeo.
I first got my name out there between 1998-2001 when I became a full factory driver for Team Losi / Trinity / Novak and traveled around the US doing what I love. In 2002, a partner and I opened a hobby shop with an indoor carpet track called Kinetix RC. Although the shop was sold to a larger company in town, my partner continued the growth of Kinetix RC through a battery company. Between 2003-2006 I raced professionally for RC AMERICA, XRAY, Hudy, Ko Propo, Proline, Rocket Science, Avid, Kinetix, Racer’s Edge, and Upgrade RC. I also assisted with the team management for Xray and RCA on the US side during this time which was great fun. From 2012-2015 I was a full factory driver for Team Associated (a lifelong dream) as well as the southern based team manager to assist Brent Thielke. Leaving AE was a very difficult decision but Avid was beginning to develop products for other manufacturers which required me to test other vehicles and being fair to AE it was a business decision to leave such a great team.
